Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and grind.fyi for the website, the Chrome extension, and the account behind them. They are written to be read. By creating an account or installing the extension you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the service.

What the service is

grind.fyi finds new job postings, and its Chrome extension fills job applications on supported job sites using the profile, resumes, and answers you give it. On the free plan it fills applications for you to review and send. On a paid plan it can also send applications that you have reviewed, or that you have told it to send hands-free, subject to the checkpoints described in our automation policy. Personal questions, security checks, and anything it cannot read safely always stop for you.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 and old enough to work where you are applying. Your account is yours: keep your sign-in to yourself, give us accurate details, and tell us at once if you think someone else is using it. You are responsible for what is done with it. One account per person.

Acceptable use

Use the service to apply for jobs you genuinely want, as yourself. Do not use it to apply in bulk to postings you have no intention of pursuing, to apply on behalf of other people without their permission, to misrepresent who you are or what you have done, to scrape or resell the job feed, to probe or overload our systems, or to do anything unlawful. Employers' own terms apply to every site the extension works on; the automation policy explains how we keep the extension inside them.

Plans, subscriptions, and refunds

• The free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Paid plans are Plus at $5 a month and Pro at $20 a month, billed monthly in advance. Current prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page.
• Payments are handled by RevenueCat and its payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card details; see the privacy policy for what they receive.
• A subscription renews each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings & billing (Manage subscription opens the billing portal). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and is not renewed after that.
• If a paid plan is not what you expected, write to hello@grind.fyi within 7 days of your first charge and we will refund it in full. Later charges are refunded at our discretion, for example when something on our side stopped the service from working.
• If we change a price, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

What we do not promise

We do not promise interviews, offers, or replies. Employers decide who they hear from, and their sites change without notice; when a site changes or a field cannot be read safely, the extension stops and tells you rather than guessing. The service is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law does not let us exclude.

You are responsible for what is sent in your name. The extension shows you every application before it goes, and hands-free sending is off until you turn it on. Review what it fills; it works from what you gave it, and it does not invent experience you do not have.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, grind.fyi is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost opportunities, income, or data, arising from the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $20 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your content and ours

Your profile, resumes, answers, and applications are yours. You give us the permission we need to store them, fill applications with them, and show them back to you, and nothing more; the privacy policy sets out what we do with them. The service itself, its code, and its job feed are ours.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from Settings & billing, or by emailing us; deletion removes your data from our systems as the privacy policy describes. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms the service or other people, or has been inactive for more than a year, and we will say why unless the law prevents it. If we close an account on a paid plan for a reason that is not a breach, we refund the unused part of the period.

Changes and contact

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and anything material is announced by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the new terms. Questions go to hello@grind.fyi.
